Landscape design
Outdoor rooms, open to the sky.
A pool, shaded seating and planted edges extend the home into a series of outdoor rooms. The relationship between these elements gives the landscape its structure: water opens the view, shelter defines places to gather, and planting frames the spaces between.

The poolside setting and seating areas have distinct characters while remaining part of one composition. Changes in surface, enclosure and light give definition to the garden without separating its parts from the wider setting.

The image sequence follows the landscape from daylight into dusk. As the light changes, planting, steps and gathering spaces take on a different emphasis. The project brings together the openness of coastal living and the more intimate scale of a place to sit, meet and spend time outdoors.
